Does your child find it hard to express and recognise their feelings?
Are you finding it hard to connect with your child?
Play Therapy helps and supports children by letting them do what they do best.
Children may not have the verbal knowledge and emotional regulation to express their feelings through words. But they can 'play out' those feelings.
During our sessions, in the play room in my family vineyard in the Barossa, your child is in control .
By watching them play, and playing with them, I can start to understand what your child is dealing with. I can then help your child (and you) to navigate those emotions and feelings.
While Play Therapy is aimed at children aged 2 – 12 years, older children may also benefit.
Play Therapy is a 1:1 session between me and your child using a range of selected toys.
Sand Tray Therapy is a form of expressive therapy. This non-verbal method of therapy is often used with children, adults, teens and groups.
"Play is the Natural Language of Children and Toys are their Words"
I established Play Therapy with Jodie in November 2019.
After 20 years in education I was ready for a new challenge. I knew from my own experience that Play Therapy was a better way to support kids.
My one-on-one sessions take place in the play room in our family vineyard.
